Lowestoft’s finest bring their arena show to the small stage.
I’ll never get bored of photographing The Darkness – they’re a music photographers wet dream. Hair and guitars flying around, lycra, constant crowd interaction and (usually) more light than the sun. Having photographed them a couple of times now, and they’ve yet to disappoint.
This was my first time photographing in the main room at 53°, and I was pleasantly surprised – it’s a similar size to Academy 2 or The Ritz in Manchester, but with a nice low stage and a formidable lighting rig (although that may have been on tour too – guess I’ll find out on my next visit).
There’s not really much else to say about this one, to be honest. Just, yeah. Great gig.
