Had a ball photographing Live at Leeds again for NME this year. This was my fifth consecutive year photographing the award winning metropolitan festival, but this year had a few firsts - the most disheartening being that this was the first year that didn't feature the iconic Cockpit on it's list of venues.
Had some really good bands on my shoot list this year, including Yak, Gengahr and The Cribs, and also managed to catch the end of Menace Beach's set, which made me very happy.
I finished my days shooting up at The Brudenell for my ol' pals' Slaves set, which was brutal. Their live set has really matured since they first exploded onto the scene last summer. The 'cheeky-chappy' vibe has been replaced with a more raucous, visceral edge. I spent most of the set either getting beaten by aged punks or perched behind Laurie's Fender Twin, before dashing out onto the stage to get a few snaps of Isaac indulging in some signature crowd interaction. Good times.
