Following our editorial shoot for Counterfeit back in 2015, Litany invited me back to shoot their latest batch of promo images. SMASHING!
Litany are enjoying a heap of success at the moment - they've recently headlined at the hallowed Brudenell Social Club in Leeds, as well as enjoying plenty of attention from the likes of Huw Stephens' BBC Introducing, and X-Posure or Radio X.
I was made up to work with Jake and Beth again - we got on swimmingly at our first shoot, and was confident there'd be much of the same this time around, with plenty of laughs and tea. I bloody love these guys!
I met Jake and Beth at their new studio in Harrogate, and after a brief tour we set up the shoot at our chosen location - Jake's mum's sitting room. We were after a simple, minimalist vintage feel, and it made sense to utilise what was at our disposal rather than paying for a studio.
To get the look we were after I shot with a single strobe through a couple of different modifiers, and after trying a few different setups using sofas and mirrors, we settled on a simple white wall look with a bold key light to give some slightly harsh shadows. Smashed it!
To check out some of Litany's awesome noises, check out their Facebook page. Also, if you live in that there London and want to see these guys in the flesh, they're playing their debut headline show in the big smoke at Electrowerkz on October 4. GO.
