In the studio with Thomas Ragsdale
Spent a couple of hours with Tom in his studio shooting some frames for the guys at Native Instruments.
Tom is a producer and composer who's been getting his hands dirty for years, from composing soundtracks for commercial, film and TV projects, to establishing himself as an electronic act in his own right. Just flicking through his soundcloud, you can see how busy he's been!
I met Tom at his basement studio, which was a little different to what I expected. Looking through other features on Native Instruments blog, many of the studios have a similar look - big, bright, minimalistic, and sterile. Tom's studio couldn't have contrasted any more! Intricate taxidermy hung from dark blue walls above vintage studio gear laden with trinkets and 'bits'. It was absolutely brimming with character!
We tried a few different set ups, with a mixture of portraits, action shots, and documentary style shots of the finer details.
Was great to spend a few hours with Tom, talking about music and photography. Proper decent bloke!
