Last summer i was commissioned by the lovely folk over at Sturman & Co. interior design to capture some residential interior shots for a forthcoming competition.
The weather on the day that we chose to shoot happened to be absolutely glorious, as we were in the midst of an outstanding heatwave. However this presented it's own challenges! More often than not, shooting interiors in bright daylight can prove tricky, as there's a balance to be found between the bright, piercing daylight and the dark, sharp shadows that are cast.
The property itself was incredible - I had some serious house envy! The bulk of the shoot featured around the kitchen of this modern detached property, in particular the incredible solid stone work surface that looked to almost 'hover'.
A huge thanks to Bess and her crew for getting me involved - it was a privilege to wander round such a remarkable property and document the creative aspects of it.
